Musaic beats Sonos and Bluesound in Multi-Room Speaker Group Test

Our MP10 has been awarded Recommended status in a Group Test of multi-room speakers between £350-£500 in the July issue of Hi-Fi Choice.

The £369.95 MP10 finished in front of the Sonos Play:5 and Bluesound Pulse Mini and achieved an amazing second place just behind the more expensive £500 Cabasse Stream 1.

Hi-Fi Choice said:

“… the MP10 is a very good product to listen to in its own right and one that consistently sounds big and exciting. The additional smart options that Musaic is offering also put it on another level of smart home integration to its rivals, making this the one to watch.”

Of the sound quality, Hi-Fi Choice’s Ed Selley said:

“… its performance of Rubberbandman is punchy and rhythmically engaging in a way that gives it an advantage over many of the speakers in the group. The impressively deep bassline is delivered with a speed and assurance that pulls you into the performance.”

He continues to say that playing the Roy Hargrove Quintet track Starmaker:

“… allows it to sound genuinely impressive for such a small speaker. The piano in the opening bars is handled with weight, texture and a tonal accuracy that leaves some of the other speakers here sounding a little artificial in comparison.”

The MP10 was also given the highest score for value of any product.

“When you consider the low price and the potential offered by its additional functionality, this is a very strong offering indeed.”
